I’ve Lost Files–What Should I do?

Keep compact discs and DVDs out of direct sunlight and away from heat. They are best placed in a protective flat surface such as a plastic CD case or CD/DVD spindle.
Floppy Diskettes
Avoid magnetic fields, heat and moisture. Do not save any further files to the floppy disk and be careful of old or malfunctioning floppy diskette drives that may harm the disk further.
